SS-31
XENE BIOLABS RESEARCH SERIES
FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY
Category: Mitochondria-Targeting Peptide
Mechanism
SS-31 targets mitochondria, stabilizes cardiolipin, reduces ROS, improves ATP production, protects heart and muscle energy metabolism, enhances cellular efficiency.
Dosing Protocol
2–4 mg daily SubQ, once daily morning use, 8–12 weeks cycle or long-term research administration.
Critical: Strong mitochondrial protective peptide improving cardiac function, endurance, and oxidative stress resistance in research models.
SS-31 | Mitochondria-Targeting Peptide — Cardioprotective | CAS: 736992-21-5
SS-31 is a small, cell-permeable aromatic-cationic tetrapeptide that selectively concentrates in the inner mitochondrial
membrane. It stabilizes cardiolipin, reduces mitochondrial ROS production, preserves ATP synthesis, and protects against
ischemia-reperfusion injury. It is one of the most potently cardioprotective peptides in research. Also improves skeletal
muscle mitochondrial function.
DOSING PROTOCOL
| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Dose | 2–4 mg/day SubQ |
| Timing | Morning; daily administration |
| Cycle Length | 8–12 weeks; can be used long-term |
STACKING RECOMMENDATIONS
Synergistic with MOTS-c (complementary mitochondrial protection mechanisms). CoQ10 for electron transport chain
support. Excellent cardiac co-therapy on TRT or any androgen stack. Epithalon for longevity stack.
NOTE: One of the strongest mitochondrial protective agents available. Particularly valuable for anyone with cardiovascular risk factors or
on anabolic compounds.
